News and Notes


There will be an AAPT panel held in conjunction with the Eastern Division APA meeting to be held in December in Philadelphia.

Moderator: Dr. Jim Campbell, President, AAPT, University of Toledo, Toledo OH.

Presenters: Dr. Gail Presby, Marist College, Poughkeepsie, NY, will speak on "Teaching African Philosophy in the Introductory Philosophy Curriculum."

Professor James P. Friel, SUNY-Farmingdale, Farmingdale, NY, will speak on "Teaching the Philosophy of Volunteering and Citizen Apprenticeship in the Philosophy Classroom."

Dr. Richard Hart, Bloomfield College, Bloomfield, NJ, will speak on "Teaching American Philosophy in the Introductory Philosophy Curriculum."

The panel will meet on Sunday, December 28, from 5:15-7:15 pm in Room 301.
