Late-stage minority graduate students and recent Ph.D.s might be interested in the following opportunity. The National Science Foundation has two programs that support philosophical research directed at understanding the interactions of science, engineering, technology and society. One is called Science and Technology Studies; the other, Societal Dimensions of Engineering, Science, and Technology. They are in the Division of Social, Behavioral and Economic Research at NSF. The Division has a program for Minority Postdoctoral Research Fellowships and Supporting Activities. Late-stage minority graduate students and recent PhDs whose research has focused in philosophy of science, or ethics and science or engineering, or related areas, who are interested in postdoctoral research work, would be eligible for these fellowships.
