Sessions: Can be either two or three hours. Deadlines:
Invited speakers send abstracts of papers to the National Office by
June 1. (Note: it is important to impress this upon speakers.)
Colloquium Papers: One speaker, 20 minutes; one commentator, 10 minutes. Speaker's reply (optional), 5 minutes. 25-30 minutes left for discussion. Two-hour Submitted Symposia: One speaker, 35 minutes; one commentator, 20 minutes or two commentators, 15 minutes each. Speaker's reply (optional), 5-10 minutes. 45-65 minutes left for discussion. (Note: the time limits on submitted papers are determined by the word limits imposed on submissions.) Deadlines:
Papers and abstracts will have been in the National Office by February
15. Note:
The Eastern Division uses only one chair per two- or three-hour colloquium
session (unlike the other two Divisions, which have a different chair
for each paper).
