The Defense
Committee, jointly with the American Association of University Professors
(AAUP), is sponsoring panel discussions
of the defense of professional rights at each of the divisional APA
meetings in 2003-2004. Each session will include brief presentations
by one of the members of the AAUP national staff who works on the issues
of Committee A: Academic Freedom and Tenure, and by a member of the
APA Defense Committee. The sessions are intended to provide an opportunity
for members of the profession to bring forward questions and comments
as well as to find out more about how the AAUP and the APA work to protect
and defend members' rights.
New PhDs,
part-time, and adjunct faculty are especially encouraged to attend.

Academic Freedom and Governance
Central:
