Report for the Committee on Pre-College Philosophy for 2002-2003

The Committee sponsored one session at the 2003 Pacific meeting:

"Philosophy in High School." Chair: Sara Goering (California State University, Long Beach); Speakers: Susan Verducci (Stanford University), "Philosophy Supplementing the High School Curriculum: The Stanford Discovery Institute in Philosophy" and Former Students from the Stanford Discovery Institute; Thomas Doyle (University of California, Irvine), "Philosophy at the Core of High School Curriculum" and Former Students from Granada Hills High School Philosophy, Los Angeles, CA.

In addition the Committee responded to a number of queries on the state of pre-college philosophy from interested members.
