APA Committee on the
Teaching of Philosophy
Online Resource Center

Welcome

Welcome!  The American Philosophical Association's Committee on the Teaching of Philosophy is pleased to announce a new service designed to provide help and resources to all teachers of philosophy.

In this Online Resource Center you will find:  a collection of syllabi from all areas of philosophical study; a "What Works" database offering short descriptions of successful classroom practices; discussion boards covering a variety of topics; plus links to other resources available across the Internet.

Please take the time to submit your own materials to our collection using the "Post a Syllabus" and "Post an Article" links available on the left.  All submissions are welcome because the success of this resource center depends on the variety of its contents.

If you are an APA member, please take a moment and fill out a Member Survey.  This is your chance to contribute your ideas and to help determine both the contents and direction of this site as it develops into what we hope will be the premiere online resource for philosophy teachers everywhere.

Please welcome a new addition to the Online Resource Center, the Community Service Learning Resource Center. The APA Committee on the Teaching of Philosophy is seeking information from members and departments about courses that incorporate community service learning. These could be past, present or future courses. Community Service Learning Resource Center submissions should benefit individuals and departments teaching courses with community service learning components and those students seeking such courses. Click here to visit the CLS section.
