Postdoctoral Fellowship in Business Ethics: The Department of Philosophy at the University of Calgary invites applications for a 2-year postdoctoral fellowship in the field of business ethics. Candidates are expected to have a philosophy Ph.D. with training in ethics and research interests in business ethics broadly defined (for example, issues of economic justice, corporate social responsibility, and environmental concerns). Extensive prior experience in business ethics is not required. The fellow will have the opportunity to work closely with the current Chair in Business Ethics in the Department of Philosophy. All Ph.D. requirements must be completed by the starting date of July 1, 2006. The stipend is $36,000 Canadian per year. The Department of Philosophy at the University of Calgary invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor starting on July 1, 2006. The areas ofspecialization for this position include the philosophy of law and environmental philosophy. A Ph.D. or equivalent in philosophy, training in the philosophy of law, and potential for a strong record of teaching and research in the philosophy of law and environmental philosophy are required. The successful candidate will teach at both the graduate and undergraduate levels in the Department of Philosophy, and will have the opportunity to work in close cooperation with colleagues in the Faculty of Law (http://www.law.ucalgary.ca/), the Institute for Advanced Policy Research(http://www.iapr.ca/), and the Institute for Sustainable Energy, Environment, and Economy (http://www.iseee.ca/).
