Instructions for Department Chairpersons Listing Vacancies in JFP

1. Prepare an advertisment for submission. Suggested guidelines may be obtained from the APA website, at http://www.apa.udel.edu/apa/publications/jfp/advertise.asp . Please specify the department member to whom inquiries should be addressed. LIST A DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS AT LEAST TWO WEEKS AFTER SCHEDULED PUBLICATION DATE OF THE JFP. If no deadline is furnished or is prior to two weeks following the date of issue, candidates may assume that applications will be accepted for at least one month after the mailing date of JFP.

2. Submit your advertisement using the online submission form at http://www.apa.udel.edu/apa/jfp/jfpsubmit.asp .

3. While notices will be accepted stating that an employer has a special interest in receiving applications from women or members of minority groups, no notice will be accepted which suggests that others will not also be considered in filling the vacancy.

4. Departments are asked to treat inquiries and applications as confidential.

5. VACANCIES WILL NOT BE RELISTED IN SUCCESSIVE ISSUES OF JFP UNLESS REQUESTED IN WRITING.

6. You should expect to receive Confirmation of your request immediately by automatic email reply when using the online submission form. If you do not receive confirmation from our office you should contact Lindsay Palkovitz at jfp_apacontact_submit@udel.edu to confirm our receipt of your submission and its appearance.
