Guidelines for Submissions
When sending computer files, use a
PC-compatible word processing program (preferably Microsoft Word).
In general, we adhere to the Chicago
Manual of Style for our formatting standards.
Use as little formatting as possible.
Details like page numbers, headers, footers, and columns will be added later. Use tabs
instead of multiple spaces for indenting. Use italics instead of underlining.
Use an "em dash" () instead of a double hyphen (--).
Use endnotes instead of footnotes.
Examples of proper endnote style:
1. David Bettelson, The Lazy South
(New York: Oxford University Press, 1967), 90.
2. See Richard S. Dunn, "The
Trustees of Georgia and the House of Commons, 1732-1752," William and Mary
Quarterly, 3d ser., 11 (October 1954): 551-65.
Austin, J. L. Philosophical Papers.
Oxford: Clarendon Press, 1961.
Anscombe, G. E. M. "Thought and
Action in Aristotle." In New Essays on Plato and Aristotle, edited by Renford
Bambrough, 143-58. London: Routledge and Kegan Paul, 1965.
