ANNOUNCING A
NEW APA PUBLICATION:
Newsletter on Hispanic/Latino Issues in Philosophy
The Newsletter on Hispanic/Latino Issues in Philosophy is
sponsored by the APA Committee on Hispanics. The Newsletter will provide information about
the status of Hispanics in the philosophy profession, reviews and discussions of recent
philosophical work related to Latin American philosophy and to Hispanic issues of
philosophical interest in the United States, and sample syllabi for courses in these
areas. In general, the Newsletter will provide a forum for open discussion and for the
sharing of information. It will not necessarily reflect the views of any or all of the
members of the Committee on Hispanics.
Call for Submissions
We invite submissions in the following areas: Book Reviews or short essays discussing recent
developments in Latin American philosophy or Hispanic issues of philosophical interest
Sample syllabi and discussions of experience in
teaching this area
Suggestions for increasing the representation of
Hispanics in philosophy
Information about bibliography, web sites, or other
relevant resources
All submissions must be limited to 10
double-spaced pages and must follow the APA guidelines for gender-neutral language. Submit
three copies. References must follow The Chicago Manual of Style. Please send all
articles, comments, and suggestions to either of the following:
