Announcing a New APA Publication:
Newsletter on Hispanic/Latino Issues in
Philosophy
The Newsletter on Hispanic/Latino Issues in Philosophy
is sponsored by the APA Committee on Hispanics. The Newsletter will provide
information about the status of Hispanics in the philosophy profession, reviews and
discussions of recent philosophical work related to Latin American philosophy and to
Hispanic issues of philosophical interest in the United States, and sample syllabi for
courses in these areas. In general, the Newsletter will provide a forum for open
discussion and for the sharing of information. It will not necessarily reflect the views
of any or all of the members of the Committee on Hispanics.
Call for Submissions
We invite submissions in the following areas: book reviews or short essays
discussing recent developments in Latin American philosophy or Hispanic issues of
philosophical interest, sample syllabi and discussions of experience in teaching this
area, suggestions for increasing the representation of Hispanics in philosophy, and
information about bibliography, websites or other relevant resources.
All submissions must be limited to 10 double-spaced pages and must follow the APA
guidelines for gender neutral language. Submit three copies. References must follow The
Chicago Manual of Style. Please send all articles, comments, and suggestions to
