APA GUIDE TO GRADUATE PROGRAMS IN PHILOSOPHY - ONLINE
The new online edition of the APA Guide to Graduate Programs in Philosophy is now available. The purpose of the Guide is to provide as much information as possible to prospective graduate students and their advisors about opportunities available for professional training in philosophy. The Guide includes contact information, areas of possible intensive study and dissertation research, program requirements, application information, admissions data, assistantships, financial aid data, lists of faculty, and placement information for each school and can be used for comparison purposes. The Guide also serves to enable members of the profession to get an idea of other department’s programs, requirements, and their use of teaching assistants as well. The Guide was first introduced as a project of the APA’s Committee on the Status and Future of the Profession, under the direction of its Chair, Richard Schacht and is produced under the auspices of the Association’s Board of Officers. The Guide has now become a standard resource for the profession and we urge all members and their colleagues to make sure that their students are aware of this important resource. Please bring this publication to the attention of department chairs, undergraduate advisors, and libraries!
